Postural Assessment

Quick and effective, postural assessment is a fundamental tool in recognizing underlying muscle imbalances. Through moderating these imbalances with customized programs your client will more quickly gain power and coordination, reach their goals, and have YOU to thank for it.

Learning Outcomes-

  1. Palpation of postural landmarks 

  2. Common postural faults

  3. Force couple imbalances and the impact on posture and strength

  4. To identify structural versus functional imbalances 

  5. Stretch and strength exercise for posture

Movement Disfunction

$350

Analyze 'The Big Five' functional movements and gain deeper understanding in  joint biomechanics and functional relationships. Functional Movement testing quickly exposes imbalances in muscle strength and coordination. Identify imbalances to customize your program. Clients will conquer challenging movements and break plateaus when the appropriate muscles are retrained for stabilization.

  2. Functional movement tests and understanding their results.

A history of injury can dramatically impact an individual's performance. Knowledge of common conditions will aid you in modifying your program to prevent recurring injury and help you design a program to support stability.

Day One - Neck and Shoulder

  3. Modifications to exercise programs for common conditions

Conditions Include-

  • Disc Herniation

  • Impingement Syndrome

  • Rotator Cuff Strains and Tendonopathies

  • AC Sprains

​

Day 2 -Elbow and Wrist

​

Learning Outcomes-

  1. Pathophysiology and effect on movement for common conditions

  2. Contraindications to exercise for common conditions

  3. Modifications to exercise programs for common conditions

Conditions Include-

  • Tendonopathies

  • Strains and Sprains

  • Subluxations

  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Day 3- Lumbar and Hip

​

  2. Contraindications to exercise for common conditions

  3. Modifications to exercise programs for common conditions

  • Osteoarthritis

Day 4- Knee and Ankle
